The Upper Sangamon River Conservancy Welcomes You to our organization!

The Upper Sangamon River Conservancy is a group of volunteers who are interested in the Sangamon River in Champaign County. Our organization engages in activities from river clean-ups, to river monitoring, and to providing a resource for anyone interested in finding out more about our Sangamon River.
Our focus is on the river as it curves through the Northwest part of Champaign County, Illinois, particularly in the area around Mahomet, Illinois.
Our organization views the river as an asset to all of the members of our community and for anyone who is concerned with, or simply enjoys, central Illinois waterways.

Have an old canoe or kayak you no longer use? Give it a second life by donating it to the Upper Sangamon River Conservancy! We'll even come and get it. And we are currently seeking a multi-canoe transport trailer as well. And if you donate your canoe and become a member, you can still use it anytime you like (but on a first-come, first-served basis, of course!). We should note that, for now, your donation would not be tax deductible.
